Penderlaw Solicitors, a well-established and highly regarded law firm in the heart of Truro, is seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join our successful Residential Property Department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and experienced team with a strong reputation and a consistent flow of high-quality work.
You will manage your own varied caseload while benefiting from a collaborative environment that encourages professional development and career progression. While the role is primarily office-based, flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
- Experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload with appropriate supervision
- Good understanding of AML compliance, source of funds requirements, and risk management
- Confident managing residential conveyancing matters
- Interested in developing broader property law experience, including commercial property work (desirable but not essential)
Although the role is primarily residential conveyancing focused, the department also undertakes a range of commercial property work. Depending on your experience and interests, you may gain exposure to:
- Grant and assignment of commercial leases
- Commercial mortgages and funding arrangements
Compliance, Client Care and Teamwork:
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures, including AML and source of funds checks
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across departments, including Matrimonial and Private Client teams
- Supporting the continued growth and success of the department through effective file management and commercial awareness
- Participating in departmental and firm-wide training initiatives
