Summary
We are seeking a supportive, reliable, and patient Personal Assistant to support a capable man in his 30s who has autism and experiences high anxiety.
The role primarily involves assisting with baking activities for his small business, providing reassurance and support to help manage anxiety, and accompanying him on trips around town using your own vehicle.
No personal care or assistance with personal hygiene is required, and he has full mental capacity.
The ideal candidate will be understanding, encouraging, and able to promote independence while providing practical and emotional support as needed.
The hours available may be shared between more than one Personal Assistant if required.

About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
- Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
- Support with food shopping.
- Support to get to and from school/work/college/social activities.
- Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
- Reassurance about anxieties using the wording he needs>
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Transport Requirement
Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.
