We are currently looking for someone to join our Payroll Bureau as a Payroll Officer. The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide.

Location: (Hybrid working) Penderels Trust, Resource House, 1A Brandon Lane, Coventry, CV3 3GU

Salary: £25,469 per annum / £11,014 pro rata

Hours: 16 hours per week

Working Days & Times: Wednesday & Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am to 2:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

The Role

As a Payroll Officer,your main duties will include:

  • Providing an efficient computerised Payroll Service using specialist software
  • Monitoring and updating all records relating to PAYE including submissions using Real Time Information (RTI)
  • Regular liaison with HMRC, Inland Revenue and all other related governing bodies
  • Providing information and advice to service users in relation to PAYE, SMP, SPP and SSP when needed
  • Setting up new employees on the payroll service
  • Collating and conveying customer information relating to Tax and National Insurance Liability in line with statutory requirements
  • Ensuring data is stored securely in line with data protection
