Support required for a 21‑year‑old male living at home who has autism, learning difficulties and genetic disorders. The role requires assistance with personal care and social inclusion, including outdoor activities, bike rides, trips to shops and general entertainment. Mileage will be paid at £0.45 per mile when taking the service user out.
Responsibilities
- Support and/or prompt with personal care including toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, and dressing.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in sporting and leisure activities.
- Assist with socialisation and participation in activities, fostering a trusting one‑to‑one relationship.
- Report all accidents and potential hazards to the employer immediately, ensuring the safety of the individual at all times.
- Perform any additional duties reasonably required by the employer.
A DBS disclosure will be required; the cost will be covered.
Transport
Car driver and owner required, with valid business insurance.
