About the Employer
Hi, Iβm looking for one or two people to provide support to my everyday living. I currently have 15 hrs a week which is covered but this will be available soon as my pa is pregnant. (Hours will increase to 25 while PA is on Maternity Leave). Iβm on oxygen full time and find breathing extremely difficult when I do anything so need someone to be my right hand. The role is varied and flexible and can be a days outing one day and cleaning, washing and cooking the next. I will be adapting along with you. Someone with experience in general and especially with oxygen is helpful or the willingness/ability to learn quickly. Iβm in my 50\βs, married with 4 lads and 8 grandchildren. Iβm quite outgoing, social and friendly and family orientated. I like things done properly first time but will listen to ideas etc. I love my 2 cockapoo dogs and enjoy going out with them as much as possible but will need help with walks and getting my wheelchair assembled and oxygen bottles ready etc to get out.

Duties and Responsibilities
β’ Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
β’ Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
β’ Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
β’ Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
β’ Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.
β’ Support with food shopping.
β’ Support the individual to look after/care for pets.
β’ Support to get to and from school/work/college/social activities.
β’ Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
β’ Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
β’ Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
β’ Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
β’ Support with managing paperwork & correspondence.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
