I am the employer and daughter to my mother who has been allocated a direct payment to support her within the home, on social activities and attending appointments at times My mother has a diagnosis of Dementia, heart condition and arthritis which affects her mobility and fine motor skills. We are seeking a PA to provide my mother with some personal care, feeding and prompting to ensure she eats and drinks sufficiently. The PA would also be required at times to prepare meals and complete some general domestic tasks within the home if time allows. The PA will offer companionship as well as support with the daily tasks and some social outings. My mother has use of a wheelchair when out and about as she is prone to falls. My mother enjoys going for a coffee, going to the beach and being outdoors. . The PA support will also grant me a break from my caring role and an opportunity for my mother to build and extend her support network with someone other than a family member. The PA will
be required to have access to a car and any expenses will be subsidized by the family. There may be some requirements to prompt or support with personal care. We are seeking someone to assist and support in my mother with tasks such as:

Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting,
showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.

Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.

Assist with household chores and general homemaking.

Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.

Support with food shopping.

Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.

Promote and encourage friendships and independence.

Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
