Overview
We are seeking in-home support for a 5-year-old girl who is energetic and enjoys play. She has an autism diagnosis and sensory processing needs and may have communication challenges. The role focuses on safe, engaging in-home activities, with eventual opportunities for community outings to places like the park.
Responsibilities
- Play with the child in the home and monitor safety, with attention to her climbing and energy at play.
- Provide support with personal care as she currently uses nappies.
- Encourage eating and drinking to maintain well-being.
- Interact with the child, keep her engaged, and ensure her safety at all times.
- Over time, accompany and assist the child on outings to community settings (e.g., parks).
