We’re now looking for a Legal Counsel/Commercial Lawyer to join our business and play a key role in supporting our continued growth.
The Role
This is a broad and varied in-house role where you’ll act as a trusted advisor to the business. You’ll work closely with teams across PenCarrie, providing practical, commercially focused legal advice. Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts (including MSAs, NDAs, framework agreements and supplier/customer terms)
- Supporting the business with day-to-day legal queries across multiple functions
- Advising on data protection matters (including UK GDPR) and supporting best practice across the organisation
- Helping to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risk while enabling business growth
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear, pragmatic advice
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with a down-to-earth, collaborative style:
- UK qualified solicitor with around 2–6 years PQE (flexible depending on experience)
- Solid experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Good working knowledge of data protection / UK GDPR
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate legal language into clear, business-friendly advice
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and a genuine interest in working closely with the business
