We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee end-to-end logistics and operational functions within an international trade environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading cross-functional teams, and driving operational excellence across import, export, transshipment, and nomination activities. This role requires strong leadership, sound decision-making skills, and extensive experience in logistics, shipping, and NVOCC operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily business and logistics operations to support organizational goals.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards for accuracy, productivity, and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry requirements.
  • Lead and manage teams handling import, export, transshipment, and nomination functions.
  • Develop and implement SOPs and support team training and development.
  • Prepare annual performance reviews, performance reports, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Monitor operational performance and resolve day-to-day issues and escalations.
  • Manage departmental budgets, set targets, and track performance against KPIs.
  • Handle shipping and customer claims, including negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Manage escalated customer concerns and ensure service excellence.
  • Negotiate tariffs and service agreements with carriers, warehouse operators, and distribution partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an NVOCC environment (preferred).
  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using Sysfreight software is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
