We have ambitious plans and therefore are growing our team and seeking an experienced New Business Development Manager to expand their skills and join our experienced team. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and secure new business opportunities. You will engage with potential clients who are not currently utilising PTP’s services, consult with them to understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions that are both beneficial for the client and profitable for PTP. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand PTP’s client base in multiple verticals. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs. Develop and implement strategic business plans to secure significant revenue opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Initiate contact with potential clients through various channels (e.g., calls, emails, networking events). Schedule and attend face-to-face meetings and calls with potential clients. Present PTP’s services and solutions in a compelling manner showing you understand the cyber security industry.
- Sales Process Management: Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities from initial contact to closing the deal. Create and deliver complex proposals and tender responses tailored to client requirements. Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximise profit margins.
- Account Management: Develop and nurture relationships with new clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention. Grow and develop new accounts by identifying additional service opportunities. Manage challenging client requests, issues, or escalations effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales executives to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery. Cover the workload of internal sales executives during their absence. Collaborate with other departments to ensure client needs are met.
- Reporting & Process: Present accurate and relevant forecasting information based on your sales pipeline. Document all communication and meetings in Salesforce. Ensure adherence to company processes and notify relevant stakeholders if deviations are necessary. Develop strategies to continuously find new customers.
Measurement & KPIs: Initial focus on growing a robust sales pipeline. Main target will be revenue generation once settled in the role. KPIs include booking at least 5 face-to-face meetings per month and achieving sales targets.
Qualifications: Previous experience (minimum 3 years) selling cyber security services is essential, including but not limited to pen testing, incident response and consulting. Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using CRM software, particularly Salesforce. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
