About the Role
Planet Education Networks (PEN Group) is looking for a driven and analytically minded Project Delivery Analyst to support the end-to-end delivery of software projects across the organisation. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no line management responsibilities. You will work across multiple concurrent projects, bridging the gap between business stakeholders, end users, and the development team. The ideal candidate brings 2β3 years of delivery or business analysis experience, a sound understanding of how software is built, and the initiative to come forward with ideas and improvements not just execute tasks. Experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment is a genuine advantage; we value people who are comfortable with ambiguity, move quickly, and think independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements & Process: Work with stakeholders and end users to gather, document, and validate requirements across multiple projects. Map business processes end to end understanding how data, people, and systems connect and identify gaps or inefficiencies. Monitor process adherence and proactively flag where users or teams are deviating from agreed workflows. Translate business needs into clear documentation that the development team can act on.
- Project Tracking & Delivery: Own delivery tracking across concurrent projects maintaining status trackers, action logs, and risk registers. Chase development teams on blockers, outstanding tasks, and deadlines to keep projects moving. Escalate risks and issues in a timely manner with a suggested course of action, not just a problem statement. Support sprint planning, meeting facilitation, and preparation of concise progress updates for stakeholders.
- Ideas & Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, tooling, or ways of working and bring forward practical proposals. Contribute to post-project reviews and embed lessons learned into future delivery cycles. Bring a solutions-first mindset; expected to think beyond the brief and challenge assumptions constructively.
- Stakeholder & Technical Liaison: Act as a reliable point of contact between business users, developers, and third-party suppliers. Communicate technical concepts in plain language to non-technical stakeholders, and business context clearly to technical teams. Support UAT coordination, including planning test cycles, consolidating feedback, and tracking sign-off.
Skills & Experience
- Essential: 2β3 years of experience in project delivery, business analysis, or a project coordination role within a software or technology environment. Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes able to map workflows, identify dependencies, and spot where things break down. Basic technical knowledge of how software is built: familiarity with concepts such as APIs, databases, and system integrations. Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing attention to detail. Comfortable challenging and chasing colleagues diplomatically to keep delivery on track. Strong written and verbal communication skills able to produce clear documentation and stakeholder updates.
- Desirable: Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment comfortable building things from scratch, wearing multiple hats, and making decisions with limited information. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello. Exposure to software development lifecycles (SDLC) or product management practices. Experience facilitating UAT, change management, or process improvement initiatives.
Person Specification: Self-starter who takes initiative and does not wait to be told what to do next. Logical and analytical thinker able to break down complex problems and propose structured solutions. Proactive with ideas: you spot things that could be done better, and you say so, constructively. Comfortable working across both technical and non-technical teams, adapting communication style accordingly. Resilient and adaptable at ease with shifting priorities and ambiguity. Collaborative by nature, but capable of working independently and managing your own workload.
Benefits:
- Annual leave (7.2 weeks)
- Workplace pension scheme
- Company Sick Policy
- Statutory maternity/paternity pays
- Career development opportunities
- Training and self-development opportunities
- Gym membership discounts
- Retail discount schemes
- Cinema discounts
