Working closely with the firm’s global heads of conflicts and ethics, you’ll be the go-to person for partners and associates on all matters relating to conflicts of interest, client onboarding, and legal ethics.
You’ll lead conflict checks for new clients and matters, guide on compliance with applicable rules, and help implement risk strategies across the firm’s offices worldwide.
Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary adviser on partner conflict queries across the global firm Oversee and conduct conflicts research for new clients and matters Identify and resolve complex conflict issues involving intricate corporate structures and transactions Provide guidance on legal ethics, screening procedures, and conflict waivers Draft and review engagement and waiver letters in accordance with firm policy Implement and monitor ethics screens, ensuring compliance with firm-wide protocols Contribute to the development and refinement of conflicts and intake policies Advise attorneys and internal teams on multi-jurisdictional conflicts rules and obligations Escalate any concerns regarding improper or unethical conduct when appropriate Who This Would Suit This role is ideal for a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years’ experience in conflicts.
