Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified lawyer to join the Risk & Compliance team of a leading international law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key legal advisory role supporting senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions on complex compliance, regulatory, and professional conduct matters.

You'll support the Risk & Compliance Partner, Head of Legal Risk, and COLP in navigating a wide spectrum of legal and regulatory responsibilities. From resolving escalated conflict queries and reviewing client engagement terms to monitoring regulatory developments and shaping internal policies, this role offers variety, visibility, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the firm’s global risk framework.
Who Would This Suit
You’re a qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least two years’ experience in a legal risk or compliance role, ideally within an international firm. You’ll have a solid understanding of the SRA Handbook and professional obligations, excellent drafting and communication skills, and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders. A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset and familiarity with global compliance frameworks will serve you well. Experience handling US conflicts or delivering training is a bonus.
