An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk Lawyer to join the London office of a leading law firm in a newly created permanent role. Working within a highly regarded Risk & Compliance function, this position offers exposure to complex and high-profile claims, complaints and regulatory matters within a collaborative and people-focused environment.

This role will play a key part in supporting the firm’s wider risk and regulatory framework, managing claims and complaints matters while working alongside senior Risk & Compliance leaders, fee earners, insurers and external advisers. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across professional indemnity, complaints handling, regulatory liaison and wider risk management initiatives within a sophisticated legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and managing potential claims, complaints and risk-related matters
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, insurers, external legal advisers and recovery partners
- Drafting summaries, correspondence and responses relating to claims and complaints issues
- Maintaining accurate records and monitoring live matters to ensure regulatory deadlines are met
- Assisting with responses involving the Legal Ombudsman, SRA and other regulatory bodies
- Supporting management reporting, training initiatives and ongoing risk projects
- Assisting with professional indemnity insurance renewals and exposure reporting
- Supporting DSAR-related matters where required
