This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape the future of the firm's conflicts function. As Head of Conflicts, you will oversee complex conflicts and confidentiality matters, lead a firm-wide programme of process improvement, enhance policies and procedures, and build a high-performing team to support the firm's continued international growth. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the firm's conflicts function, overseeing the resolution of complex conflicts of interest and confidentiality issues.
- Drive a firm-wide programme to enhance conflicts processes, procedures and supporting technology.
- Develop and maintain conflicts policies, guidance and best practice.
- Advise on conflicts arising from new business, lateral hires, confidential information and other strategic initiatives.
- Build, mentor and lead a specialist conflicts team, fostering high performance and continuous development.
- Deliver training and guidance to partners and employees across the firm's international offices.
- Provide strategic reporting and advice to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Collaborate with the wider Risk & Compliance team to strengthen the firm's overall risk framework.
This opportunity would suit either a qualified lawyer or an experienced non-qualified conflicts professional with extensive expertise gained within an international law firm. You will have a strong track record of managing complex conflicts issues, leading teams and driving operational improvement. Experience with Intapp or similar conflicts management systems would be highly advantageous, alongside excellent stakeholder management, commercial judgement and the ability to influence at senior level. You will be equally comfortable managing day-to-day technical matters whilst leading strategic change across the business.
