An award-winning leading national law firm is seeking a Corporate Knowledge Lawyer/Senior Knowledge Lawyer to support its highly regarded corporate practice. Based in the firm’s office in Surrey, this role will work closely with an established senior knowledge lawyer and report to the Head of the Corporate Practice Group. The focus is on supporting the corporate team across mainstream corporate transactions, with particular emphasis on mid-market M&A, corporate restructurings, governance and general advisory work. The role is full-time, though four days per week will be considered, and the firm operates a flexible hybrid model, with lawyers encouraged to be in the office at least two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, updating and maintaining corporate precedents, templates and guidance
- Monitoring legal and market developments and sharing insights across the team
- Providing technical support, second opinions and practical guidance to fee earners
- Designing and delivering engaging training for lawyers at all levels
- Supporting trainees and new joiners with structured learning and development
- Assisting with corporate research and directing junior lawyers to key resources
- Supporting business development initiatives and client-facing training
- Championing legal technology, AI and innovation within the corporate practice
- Maintaining an effective know-how and knowledge repository
About the Candidate
This role would suit an established Corporate Knowledge Lawyer, or a technically strong corporate fee earner (3+ PQE) looking to transition into a first knowledge role. A particular interest in M&A is desirable, though a generalist corporate background is also welcomed. The firm is keen to speak with individuals who:
