The successful candidate will provide practical legal advice on global privacy frameworks, support the development of data governance strategies and ensure that personal data is handled responsibly and in line with regulatory expectations, including in relation to emerging technologies and AI. The role will also involve reviewing how personal data is collected, stored and used across the organisation, contributing to data governance initiatives and advising on processes including procurement and third-party arrangements. Close collaboration with stakeholders across the business will be required to support new initiatives, operational processes and evolving regulatory requirements, including privacy impact assessments and incident response where required.
Candidate Profile
This role would suit a commercially minded data privacy lawyer who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and providing practical, solutions-focused advice. Candidates will have experience advising on global privacy laws and regulatory frameworks, ideally gained within an international law firm or comparable professional services environment, and experience supporting the practical implementation of privacy programmes. The ability to operate calmly under pressure and provide confident, practical advice on privacy issues at short notice is essential. The firm is ideally seeking candidates with around 4–5 years’ experience, though strong applicants outside this range will also be considered.
