A leading international law firm is seeking a Conflicts Lawyer to join its global Business Acceptance team in London. This permanent, in-house role sits at the centre of new business decision-making, offering exposure to complex, high-profile matters and close collaboration with partners and senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

Working within the Legal & Risk function, the Conflicts Lawyer will advise on legal, regulatory and reputational risks associated with new and existing business. The role combines technical legal analysis with commercial judgement, supporting the firm’s ability to take on work safely, compliantly and strategically. It offers meaningful involvement in policy development, stakeholder engagement and broader risk initiatives, alongside day-to-day advisory work.
Key responsibilities
- Advising on conflicts of interest, confidentiality and information barriers
- Providing guidance on client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines and related agreements
- Applying regulatory requirements and internal policies to complex, time-sensitive matters
- Supporting the development and implementation of global risk management policies and best practice
- Acting as a trusted advisor to partners, sector leaders and business teams
- Contributing to training, awareness initiatives and wider Legal & Risk projects
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Business Acceptance team
This role would suit a qualified lawyer (c.2+ PQE) from a large or international law firm, either a current conflicts lawyer or a fee-earner with a transactional background and strong understanding of deal structures and commercial documentation.
