A leading global law firm is seeking a Risk Lawyer to join its London-based Risk & Compliance team. This is a varied and commercially focused role sitting within a highly regarded Risk & Compliance function. The successful candidate will provide practical advice on regulatory and professional conduct issues, support the ongoing enhancement of the firm's risk framework, and collaborate with lawyers and business services professionals across multiple jurisdictions. The position offers a unique blend of advisory, policy, training and strategic project work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise lawyers and business services teams on a broad range of risk, regulatory and professional conduct matters.
  • Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the firm's risk management framework.
  • Review, update and maintain policies, procedures, terms of engagement and other compliance documentation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance on emerging risks and changes affecting the legal sector.
  • Deliver risk and compliance training across the business.
  • Partner with stakeholders across international offices on risk and compliance initiatives and queries.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at strengthening governance, controls and best practice across the firm.

This opportunity would suit a qualified lawyer with at least two years' experience within a Risk & Compliance function at an international law firm.
