Working within the firm's Risk & Compliance function, the successful candidate will provide practical legal and regulatory advice to partners and stakeholders, helping ensure the firm meets its professional obligations. The position offers a combination of advisory responsibilities, policy development and strategic project work, with the opportunity to contribute to the wider compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on professional conduct, ethics, confidentiality, disclosure obligations and wider regulatory compliance matters.
- Monitor UK legal and regulatory developments, including SRA requirements, and update internal policies and guidance accordingly.
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training and contribute to firmwide risk management initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders on complex compliance matters, providing clear, commercially focused advice.
- Support and guide junior team members while promoting a strong culture of ethical awareness and accountability.
About You
This opportunity would suit a qualified lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE and experience in risk and compliance, professional regulation or legal ethics, ideally within a leading law firm. Candidates from dedicated Risk & Compliance teams are welcomed, alongside fee earners with relevant regulatory experience seeking to transition into this area. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and drafting skills, sound judgement and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders, alongside a proactive, collaborative approach.
