Working within an established private funds practice, the successful candidate will oversee the transfer of investor interests in private investment funds. Combining transactional legal expertise with client relationship management and team supervision, the position offers considerable autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of a specialist legal service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple fund interest transfers, ensuring transactions progress efficiently and to a high standard.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fund managers, investors, external counsel and other key stakeholders.
- Review and negotiate transaction documentation, coordinating with specialist advisers where necessary.
- Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, managing workloads and maintaining high standards of delivery.
- Collaborate with wider legal teams on investor matters and related fund transactions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, streamline workflows and utilise technology to improve client service.
About the Ideal Candidate
This opportunity would particularly suit an England and Wales qualified lawyer with at least 3–5 years' PQE , with more experienced practitioners strongly encouraged to apply. A strong transactional legal background is essential, ideally gained within an international law firm, while private funds experience is highly desirable .
The successful candidate will demonstrate sound commercial judgement, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the confidence to manage competing priorities independently. Strong relationship-building abilities, a collaborative approach and an interest in mentoring junior colleagues will be particularly valued.
