Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead a busy and well-established bodyshop operation in Southampton. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, driving productivity and profitability, and ensuring high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the bodyshop
- Lead, motivate, and develop bodyshop staff including Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, MET Technicians, and Admin
- Ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer and insurance standards
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and efficiency
- Manage customer satisfaction and handle escalated issues
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, manufacturer, and insurer requirements
- Control costs, budgets, and profitability
- Liaise with insurers, suppliers, and internal departments
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Manager or Bodyshop Controller
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good technical understanding of bodyshop repair processes
- Experience working with insurance companies and estimates
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
