We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy and well-established automotive business. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles
- Perform MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations (where qualified)
- Diagnose faults accurately using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Conduct vehicle health checks and report any additional work required
- Ensure all job cards, paperwork, and MOT records are completed accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Work collaboratively with the service team to meet productivity targets
Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Valid MOT Tester Licence (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)
- Proven experience as a Service Technician in a dealership or independent garage
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- A positive, professional attitude with good attention to detail
