We are seeking an experienced MET Technician / Panel Beater to carry out high-quality vehicle strip, repair, and refit work, ensuring all repairs are completed to manufacturer standards and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- Strip and refit vehicle panels, trims, and mechanical/electrical components
- Carry out panel repairs and replacement to manufacturer repair methods
- Diagnose and resolve fitment and alignment issues
- Repair damaged body panels using approved repair techniques
- Ensure correct operation of vehicle systems following refit
- Liaise with estimators, painters, and workshop control to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain accurate job records and report additional damage where identified
- Adhere to health & safety and quality control procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MET Technician and/or Panel Beater
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Body Repair or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle construction and materials
- Ability to work to manufacturer standards and time targets
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- ATA accreditation
- Experience within manufacturer-approved or insurance repair bodyshops
- Knowledge of ADAS components and recalibration requirements
