Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead a busy and well-established bodyshop operation in Southampton. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, driving productivity and profitability, and ensuring high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the bodyshop
  • Lead, motivate, and develop bodyshop staff including Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, MET Technicians, and Admin
  • Ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer and insurance standards
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and efficiency
  • Manage customer satisfaction and handle escalated issues
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, manufacturer, and insurer requirements
  • Control costs, budgets, and profitability
  • Liaise with insurers, suppliers, and internal departments

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Bodyshop Manager or Bodyshop Controller
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Good technical understanding of bodyshop repair processes
  • Experience working with insurance companies and estimates
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
