Job Purpose
To provide an efficient, accurate, and professional parts service to the workshop and retail customers, ensuring correct parts identification, timely supply, and excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and supply vehicle parts accurately using manufacturer and aftermarket systems
- Serve workshop technicians and external customers promptly and professionally
- Process parts orders, returns, credits, and invoices
- Maintain accurate stock control, including goods in/out and stock checks
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure availability and competitive pricing
- Upsell accessories and additional parts where appropriate
- Ensure parts department standards, housekeeping, and health & safety requirements are met
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the parts department
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor (automotive environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and components
- Confident using parts catalogues and dealer management systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Team-focused with a positive, proactive attitude
Desirable
- Main dealer or franchised dealer experience
- Knowledge of manufacturer systems (e.g. ETKA, EPC, Kerridge, CDK, etc.)
- Full UK driving licence
