Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Master Technician to join our busy and progressive workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering top-quality work and enjoys working with a team of professionals. You will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional service, leading by example, and driving workshop performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across a wide range of vehicles.
- Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
- Perform MOT inspections if qualified, ensuring vehicles meet legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior technicians.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, including hybrid and electric systems.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs and technical issues clearly to customers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience as a Master or Senior Technician.
- Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including hybrid/electric vehicles.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Strong communication and teamworking skills.
Desirable:
- Manufacturer-specific certifications or experience with premium brands.
- MOT Tester qualification.
- Experience mentoring junior technicians or supporting workshop management.
