We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join a professional workshop environment. This role focuses on advanced fault diagnosis across mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems, supporting the workshop in resolving complex technical issues efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer and third-party diagnostic equipment
- Identify and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
- Support and mentor other technicians with diagnostic guidance
- Complete repairs to manufacturer and company standards
- Carry out servicing and repair work when required
- Accurately complete job cards, reports and digital health checks
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and workshop procedures
- Keep up to date with manufacturer technical bulletins and training
The Ideal Candidate
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Technician
- Strong fault-finding and analytical skills
- Confident using diagnostic tools and vehicle systems software
- EV / Hybrid certification (desirable but not essential)
- MOT Tester licence (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
