Job Description Vehicle Technician Location: Brighton, East Sussex Salary: £34,000 – £60,000 OTE Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles to the highest standards while delivering excellent customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment. Complete repairs efficiently and accurately in line with manufacturer specifications. Perform vehicle inspections and identify additional work required. Conduct vehicle health checks and prepare reports. Ensure all work is completed to health and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used. Support colleagues and contribute to a productive workshop environment. Essential Requirements NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Automotive Technician. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Full UK driving licence. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Desirable Requirements MOT Tester licence. Experience with manufacturer diagnostic systems. Hybrid and electric vehicle qualifications. Main dealership experience. Skills & Competencies Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Customer-focused approach.
