An established automotive workshop is seeking a qualified MOT Tester to join its busy and well-equipped service centre in Patchway. This is a great opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester or Technician with an MOT licence to work in a fast-paced environment carrying out MOT testing, basic servicing, inspections and light repairs where required. The role offers stable earnings with additional bonus opportunities linked to productivity and workshop performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
  • Complete vehicle inspections accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Record test results and documentation correctly using workshop systems.
  • Identify and report vehicle defects, advising on necessary repairs.
  • Carry out minor repairs and adjustments where appropriate and authorised.
  • Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and compliance at all times.
  • Ensure MOT station equipment is maintained and calibrated correctly.
  • Support workshop efficiency and contribute to team productivity targets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Valid DVSA MOT Tester licence (Class 4 essential).
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
