We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced MOT Tester to join our client’s busy and successful dealership in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician looking to develop their career within a professional workshop environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards while ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy. The role may also involve light servicing and repairs when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
  • Inspecting vehicles for mechanical and safety issues
  • Accurately recording MOT test results using the MOT testing system
  • Identifying defects and advising on required repairs
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained and calibrated correctly
  • Working efficiently to meet workshop targets
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
  • Valid MOT Testing Licence (Class 4 ideally)
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience working as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician
  • Strong attention to detail and safety standards
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
