THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for an experienced Aftersales Manager to join an established automotive dealership in Exeter and take responsibility for the overall performance of the Aftersales operation. This is a hands-on management role for someone who understands how to balance customer experience, commercial performance and team development while keeping the department running smoothly.

THE ROLE

You’ll take overall responsibility for the Aftersales operation, leading the Service, Parts and Workshop functions and ensuring the department delivers against its targets.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading and developing the Aftersales team.




• Driving departmental performance, profitability and customer satisfaction.




• Managing Workshop, Service and Parts operations.




• Monitoring KPIs, targets and financial performance.




• Maintaining excellent standards of customer service.




• Developing team performance and engagement.




• Working closely with Sales and senior management.




• Managing manufacturer standards, processes and compliance.




• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.




• Handling escalated customer concerns professionally.




• Ensuring the department operates in a structured and commercially focused way.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This is a specialist requirement, so previous experience is essential.

We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an Aftersales Manager within an automotive dealership.




• VAG or German automotive brand experience – essential.




• Strong knowledge across Service, Parts and Workshop operations.




• Proven experience managing and developing an Aftersales team.




• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of departmental KPIs.




• Excellent customer service and communication skills.




• A confident and organised management style.




• The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.




• A full UK driving licence.




• VAG or German brand experience is essential, alongside previous Aftersales Manager experience.
