An established automotive retailer is seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join its busy workshop team in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Technician to work within a modern, well-equipped dealership environment, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repair work and vehicle inspections to manufacturer standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair work on a wide range of vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
  • Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional repair requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely and to manufacturer standards.
  • Accurately record work completed and parts used on dealership systems.
  • Liaise with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers regarding repair progress.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and quality of workmanship.
  • Ensure warranty procedures and compliance guidelines are followed.
  • Support workshop efficiency by working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Keep up to date with technical training and manufacturer developments.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
  • Experience working within a franchised dealership or high-quality independent workshop.
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • MOT Tester qualification (advantageous).
