Overview
Haverfordwest High VC School is seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Specialist Visual Impairment). The successful candidate would join us in working in an environment which promotes excellence, inclusion and high expectations. This is a Fixed Term post until July 2026.

- Role: Teaching Assistant – Level 2 – Specialist Visual Impairment – Fixed Term until July 2026. Grade 4 – £25,185 for 30 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £17,937.25 pro rata rising to 46.8 weeks, £18,914.02 pro rata per annum after 5 years\\\’ service.
Responsibilities
- Working under the direction of the ALNCo or subject teacher, you will provide support to enable access to learning for pupils who are visually impaired. Work may be carried out in the classroom or any other area of the school as required.
- A good standard of education, and an understanding of children/young people\\\’s needs and rights, together with experience of working with children, is essential for this role.

- A DBS certificate and registration with the Education Workforce Council will be required for this post.
