The Head Teacher and Management Committee are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team of highly motivated professionals who work collaboratively to raise standards at all levels. The applicant must support a positive, nurturing environment where students are encouraged to meet their potential.
Grade 6 – £28,142 for 30 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £20,043.29 pro rata rising to 46.8 weeks, £20,480.91 pro rata per annum after 5 years service.
You Will Be Expected To
- Work under the direction of the Lead Teacher and Classroom Teacher,
- Plan, prepare and deliver sessions to small groups of students
- Manage classroom resources
- Manage heightened behaviours and keep children safe
- Assist in the preparation of materials and displays
- Contribute to the delivery of individual development plans (IDPs)
Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with ALN would be beneficial. You must have an understanding of the safeguarding principles and child protection procedures. Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge would be advantageous.
A good standard of education, an understanding of child development, together with excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
You will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) for this post.
