The Pembroke Medical Group is part of the Baywide PCNWe are looking for a salaried GP to join our welcoming, hardworking, andforward-thinking team for a one- year fixed term contract to cover maternityleave.
£11,075 per session: Portfolio Working: Blocked Admin Time: 6 weeks holiday: 1 week study leave: Indemnity (the extra costs on top of crown is fully paid by the practice) Flexibility- we have extra contracts to fit around childcare and can be flexible with the number of sessions worked.

Main duties of the job
Operating from our main site in Paignton and ourbranch site in Torquay we care for upwards of 26,000 patients in an organisedand strong team environment. This means meeting for coffee every day, enjoyingour practice funded socials and being supportive to new members of our team.Our 22 GPs are currently supported by ANPs, Pharmacists, Paramedics and ARRSroles staff including Pharmacy Technicians, and Social Prescribers as well aslarge and experienced nursing, reception, and admin teams.We work well within the local community giving lots of opportunities forportfolio working including taking part within the Integrated care team, andany new roles that may be on the horizon!We have a good track record of welcoming trainees and newly qualified GPs intothe practice. We pride ourselves on being friendly and offering supportespecially in those first few months of transition. We have a duty doctor onhand each day with no booked patients ready to help with any queries that mayarise.Using Emis Web we run a hybrid system involving an acute, on the day triageteam and a planned pre-booked team every day.

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primarycare setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical Responsibilities: In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-selfavailable to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephoneconsultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeatprescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whetherself-referred or referred from other health care workers.
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosedproblems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease managementprotocols.
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) wheneverthis is clinically appropriate
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties andresponsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Experience
- Experience of working in a primary care environment

- Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
- General understanding of the GMS contract
