Role Summary: SOCIT delivers essential IT services to several prestigious Oxford Colleges. As a Computing Technician, you will play a vital role in providing 1st and 2nd line support to our community, ensuring minimal disruption and exceptional service levels. Reporting to the Helpdesk Manager, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of passionate professionals and contribute to exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a high standard of 1st and 2nd line support via email, telephone, or in person, resolving technical issues efficiently and professionally.
- Support users across Windows, MacOS and mobile platforms, with a particular focus on Microsoft 365 services, authentication, and access management; troubleshoot and resolve common issues relating to identity and access (SSO, MFA, account access), desktop software and applications, connectivity (WiFi and network access), email and collaboration tools.
- Use the SOCIT Helpdesk (ticketing) system, resolve support calls in a timely efficient manner. Responsible for prioritising work effectively.
