The IT Analyst will report to the Head of Application Development/Architecture. Key stakeholders the role will interact with include the Operations team and Information Technology Team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of applications using C# and SQL and Python.
  • Support the design and delivery of cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver incremental value.
  • Assist in translating business requirements, particularly within Asset Management and Private Credit, into technical specifications.
  • Engage in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Learn and adopt best practices in software engineering, security, and performance optimisation.

Person Specification

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science (or a closely related field).
  • +2 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within financial services.
  • Exposure to or experience with: C#, Python, SQL, Azure cloud services, Agile delivery environments.
  • Understanding of core engineering principles such as version control, testing, and CI/CD.

Key Qualities

  • Experience supporting systems used in Asset Management or Private Credit.
  • Familiarity with API development, microservices, or event driven patterns.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps or similar tooling.
  • Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn from senior engineers.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to grow technical and domain expertise.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • Conversant with AI.
