As an Application Support Engineer, you will be joining the Global Technology Service Management team within the Chief Operations Office & Functions area. In your new role, you will be working closely with the global functional lead for Data management technology services. You will be working as a Subject Matter Expert for Risk Finance Treasury applications. You will be instrumental in driving an engineering mindset for resiliency, operational excellence, observability, and service risk for specific key applications working with many stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
- Developing in-depth knowledge/understanding of the applications, architecture, infrastructure components, processes and more.
- Identifying inefficiencies in application processes and recommend solutions for process improvement to eliminate delays.
- Providing technical resolution to incidents impacting production, participate in post mortem of incidents and document knowledge article for faster recovery.
- Driving production availability by effective implementation of next gen monitoring and alerting solutions for better observability to avoid incidents/outages.
- Performing root cause analysis and work with various IT teams for permanent remediations.
- Driving automation and continuous service improvement to ensure operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
- Working with cross‑functional teams to understand data lineage, data dependencies and business impacts.
- Measuring service improvements in terms of batch success rate, OLA/SLA/KRI/KPI on a daily weekly basis.
What we’re looking for:
- A Degree in information systems or computer science or any equivalent.
- Experience in investment banking application support/infrastructure support.
- Solid experience in supporting mission critical complex and massive technology estate support for banking domain.
- Solid experience in working with Linux/Unix operating systems, Unix commands, Shell Scripting.
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience working in Critical Tier –1 Business Application area.
- Solid understanding of Data Mart, Data Lakes and Data Warehouse principles.
- Familiar with financial services industry, regulatory and compliance requirements of global regulators like PRA, Federal Reserve.
- Solid understanding of ITIL concepts & Servicenow.
