We are looking for a part time Practice Nurse (24 hours per week over 3/4 days) to join our team at Pelton and Fellrose Medical Group.
Main duties of the job:
- To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the Primary Healthcare Team.
Job responsibilities:
- Able to document consultations according to NMC Guidelines.
- Able to support patients in long term condition management, and carry out practice checks such as venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, diabetic foot checks.
- Running Well Person Clinics and Health Promotion Programmes, facilitating change by providing holistic assessment and lifestyle advice, smoking, alcohol intake and exercise, including NHS and new patient health checks.
- Perform Cervical Cytology Tests.
- Ability to undertake ECGs.
- Assist in the provision of Minor Surgery and Coil fittings.
- Have some experience in managing Long Term Conditions, or be interested in developing this skill.
Qualifications:
- RGN Qualification.
- Current NMC Registration.
- Cervical Cytology Qualification.
- Accredited training in Chronic Disease Management.
