This is an opportunity to shape and lead a global Project Management Office at a business focused on growth, transformation, and operational excellence. As Group PMO Director, you will work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to establish and embed a high-performing PMO function that drives strategic delivery across the organisation. You will play a pivotal role in bringing structure, visibility, and accountability to key initiatives while championing a culture of continuous improvement and execution excellence.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will lead complex change programmes from concept through to implementation and benefits realisation, ensuring projects are aligned to business priorities and deliver measurable impact across a global operational environment. With a remit spanning functions and geographies, this is a highly influential leadership role suited to an experienced transformation and PMO professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving organisations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Establish and lead a Group-wide PMO function that supports strategic execution across the business.
  • Drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to organisational objectives.
  • Embed governance frameworks, reporting standards, and delivery methodologies that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making.
  • Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to provide clear insight into programme performance, risks, dependencies, and resource priorities.
  • Introduce and champion structured problem-solving methodologies, including A3, to support effective decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with executive sponsors, project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders across international locations.
  • Create a collaborative, delivery-focused culture that enables teams to perform at their best.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing PMO team capable of supporting the organisation’s long-term strategic ambitions.
  • Ensure best practice project and programme management approaches are consistently applied across the business.
  • Enhance organisational capability through coaching, tools, frameworks, and delivery support.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience establishing and leading PMO functions within complex or multi-site organisations.
  • Strong expertise in project and programme management methodologies and governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic change and transformation initiatives, ideally within SME and larger corporate environments.
  • Experience operating within manufacturing, FMCG, or similarly structured operational businesses.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage at executive level.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery.
  • Experience managing complex project portfolios, including risks, interdependencies, and resource planning.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting capabilities, including KPI development and executive dashboard reporting.
  • A collaborative leadership style with experience building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration platforms such as Monday.com.
  • Familiarity with Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies, including A3.
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are desirable.
