The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our growing sales team. You will drive commercial performance across the South East of England, building strong customer relationships and expanding the presence of the Pelsis brand. This is a hands-on commercial role where you will work closely with garden centres, DIY retailers, hardware stores, and wholesalers to deliver exceptional service and maximise revenue across the Pelsis portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and grow sales across your assigned geographical area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, including garden centres, DIY retailers, wholesalers, and independents.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities to expand distribution of Pelsis brands such as Doff and Pest-Stop.
- Deliver product training, promotional activity, and merchandising support to maximise in-store execution and brand visibility.
- Work closely with internal teams including Sales Support, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless customer service.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and category performance within your region.
- Prepare regular territory reports, forecasts, and account plans.
- Attend trade shows, customer events, and internal meetings as required.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be someone who has:
- Proven experience in field sales, account management, or territory management—ideally within FMCG, garden care, homecare, or related sectors.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities and negotiate effectively.
- Highly organised with good analytical and reporting skills.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and comfortable working autonomously.
- Full UK driving licence.
