We now have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our friendly, fast-paced team in Knaresborough. This is a senior operational role, managing warehouse activity and people, while operating as part of the site leadership team.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic chance for an experienced warehouse professional to take ownership of a busy operation, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective processes. Working closely with the General Manager and senior colleagues, you’ll play a key role in ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, stock control is robust, and the team is motivated to deliver excellent results.
You’ll not only manage the day-to-day activity but also contribute strategically, helping to improve processes, develop people, and achieve the highest operational standards on site.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team, setting clear objectives and reviewing performance.
- Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations, maintaining high standards of health, safety, hygiene and security.
- Drive stock accuracy, reconciliations, and compliance with audit requirements.
- Manage space utilisation, stock movement, and flow of goods across storage, picking, production support and dispatch.
- Organise shipments and coordinate vehicles and loads, including inter-site haulage.
- Support operational reporting, KPIs, and budget control.
- Take an active role in audits and regulatory compliance.
- Build strong working relationships across Production, Quality and wider functions.
- Contribute as part of the senior operations team, ensuring warehouse activity aligns with business priorities.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be someone who:
- Has a proven track record of managing warehouse and distribution operations.
- Leads people confidently – coaching, motivating, and holding individuals accountable.
- Works in a hands-on, performance-focused way, balancing day-to-day activity with continuous improvement.
- Communicates effectively and collaborates across functions.
- Has strong organisational skills and proficiency with IT systems (Excel essential).
- Brings a positive, flexible approach and enjoys solving problems
What’s on Offer
