  • Champion safety and quality: Build a culture of zero harm, maintain high environmental and quality standards, and ensure compliance with Group policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Connect planning with delivery: Work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial and Portfolio teams to meet customer demand and execute agreed production plans.
  • Improve efficiency: Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve labour productivity and optimise asset utilisation.
  • Deliver operational change: Support capital investment, automation, digital manufacturing and process improvements, ensuring readiness for product launches and engineering changes.
  • Develop your team: Set clear expectations, coach the site leadership team and build capability, engagement and succession plans across operational functions.
  • Manage risks and costs: Oversee operational budgets, address performance gaps and support inventory and working‑capital objectives.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a visible, proactive leader who combines operational expertise with commercial awareness and a strong commitment to people development.

You’ll need:

  • Significant operational leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing manufacturing, engineering and warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems.
  • A track record of delivering Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, improving productivity and controlling costs.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to lead teams through change, build accountability and sustain improvements.

A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations Management, or equivalent practical experience, would be welcome. A Lean Six Sigma qualification would also be an advantage.
