As we pursue that mission in our International markets, we are looking for a passionate and talented Director of International Commercial Excellence to join our team. Reporting directly to the VP, GM, Retail & Consumer Sales (based in NYC), you will define and shape Peloton's international commercial standards. You will partner with the Country General Managers (GMs) across our International markets to ensure that as they drive local market growth, they remain seamlessly integrated into our Global Matrix Organization. You will serve as a collaborative bridge ensuring Functional Sales Excellence and Local Market Leadership and execution are always in sync. This is a fixed term contractor position.

Your Daily Impact at Peloton:

  • Establish the guardrails for commercial/sales parameters, ensuring local market strategies, commercial terms, and promotional approach/calendars align with Peloton's global functional plans and margin requirements and implement across our international markets.
  • Provide an objective global lens on local market decisions to ensure alignment with the global sales strategy.
  • Define and implement best in class practices to standardize our partnership management, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Joint Business Planning (JBPs), ensuring a unified data language across all international markets.
  • Partner with GMs in navigating complex negotiations and 3P retail partnerships, providing the commercial framework for our various operating models to meet our sales, profit and brand objectives.
  • Sales managers will report to the GMs; however, you will provide high-level tactical guidance and mentorship to Sales Managers to drive global best practices through their day-to-day operations.
  • Serve as the lead interface for Global Sales Solutions (GSS), Retail Marketing, and Supply Chain/Ops, enabling GMs to leverage global operations and enablement resources as local market accelerators.
  • Synthesize data-driven insights from across international markets to identify operational efficiencies and cross-market opportunities.
  • Partner with GMs and finance partners to build robust, financially sound business cases for local investments, ensuring a clear ROI path before submission to leadership.

You Bring to Peloton:

  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization (preferably US-headquartered) with a demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus without direct line authority.
  • Proven track record in successfully running omnichannel businesses with deep experience in distribution, marketing, and retail operations.
  • Experience developing structured frameworks and operational processes within a global organization, specifically within a commercial/sales function.
  • Ability to formulate logical, data-driven business insights and build complex business cases that stand up to rigorous executive review.
  • Highly effective at building relationships and working cross-functionally across multiple functional and cultural groups.
  • A global thinker with a strong understanding of local consumer trends and the ability to translate global strategy into local execution.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity in a dynamic and complex matrix environment, with the ability to find clarity and drive results.
  • Experience in fitness, consumer electronics, technology, premium consumer brands, and/or subscription businesses.
  • Experience working within a multi-national organization with a US based headquarters.
