About The Role
We are seeking a Senior or Principal Flood Risk Consultant to join one of our Birmingham, Croydon, Exeter, Manchester or Wakefield offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong drainage design background and expertise in hydraulic modelling and drainage network 3D modelling. The role involves working extensively with teams across all UK offices, liaising with clients and leading the delivery of technical input. The successful applicant will manage medium‑sized projects or several smaller projects with complex features, ensuring that scope, cost and timelines are respected. You will support the wider multidisciplinary project team, drive quality against engineering practice, health and safety legislation.
Experience – Considerable experience on water‑based projects; significant experience with Integrated Urban Drainage Models (e.g. InfoWorks ICM); understanding of water company responsibilities; experience with 1D/2D hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller/TUFLOW); knowledge of flood risk projects for land development, regeneration and transportation; awareness of health and safety legislation; experience conducting site visits and surveys.
Skills – Drainage network 3D modelling; design of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
