Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and assessment of bridges and civil structures across highways, rail and major infrastructure projects.
- Assist in producing calculations, drawings, BIM models and technical reports.
- Undertake site inspections and surveys with senior guidance.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians and project managers to deliver high‑quality design solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, standards and digital design practices.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Qualifications: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent). Working toward IEng/CEng or membership of ICE/IStructE.
- Experience: Recent graduate exposure to bridge or structural engineering through placements, graduate roles and academic projects. Experience with UK standards (DMRB, Eurocodes) or involvement in design consultancy work.
- Skills: Basic structural analysis knowledge; proficiency in CAD/BIM tools; strong communication and teamwork. Familiarity with software such as MIDAS, LUSAS or similar FE packages.
