Pell Frischmann is a specialist advisory and technical consultancy operating across the built and natural environment, helping to shape a better future for the communities in which we work. We offer consultancy services to support both public and private-sector clients across sectors encompassing buildings, infrastructure, and regeneration.
You will be joining a hardworking and successful team specialising in conducting a wide range of land surveying duties across the UK. You will be learning and shadowing whilst you gain experience to conduct surveys yourself in various environments across the UK and overseas. Flexibility will be required to work at locations away from home across the UK with the possibility of occasional overseas projects. You will also be required to work occasional night and weekend shifts. Due to the aspects of the role, you must be willing to take and pass regular drugs and alcohol screening. The sites we work on will require a CSCS accreditation, so willingness to complete is essential. The team works collaboratively across the UK, and we would be flexible on you being based in the London, Manchester, Croydon, or Wakefield offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in undertaking topographic, engineering, and as-built surveys
- Support setting-out activities for civil engineering and construction projects
- Collect, process, and manage survey data using GPS, total stations, and laser scanning equipment
- Produce survey drawings, models, and reports using industry-standard software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- Carry out site visits and fieldwork in accordance with health and safety requirements
- Maintain accurate survey records and data management systems
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders
- Support senior surveyors in meeting project deadlines and quality standards
Skills And Experience:
- Degree (or expected degree) in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Interest in site-based work and developing technical surveying expertise
- Basic knowledge of surveying equipment and methodologies
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence (or willingness to obtain)
