We are looking to hire an Industrial placement in our Project Management team in Luton.
As an Industrial Placement Student in Project Management, you will support the delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will gain exposure to project planning, cost control, programme management, risk management, and stakeholder coordination across a range of projects, including highways, utilities, water, structures, and urban development schemes.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day project delivery activities
- Assisting with project planning, schedules, and progress reporting
- Helping manage project documentation, meeting minutes, and action tracking
- Supporting cost, risk, and change control processes
- Liaising with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Using industry-standard project management tools and software
- An undergraduate student studying Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related degree
- Eligible to complete a 12-month industrial placement as part of your course
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)
- Interest in infrastructure, engineering, and project delivery
- Hands-on experience working on live civil engineering projects
- Mentorship and support from experienced Project Managers
- Insight into how a professional engineering consultancy operates
- Development of key project management and professional skills
