We are looking to hire a Senior Bridge Engineer for our Luton or Stansted office. We are recruiting a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our expanding Luton or Stansted offices, supporting our growing workload across a wide range of complex bridge and civil structure projects. You’ll work with clients across highways, rail, developers, and major infrastructure partners. You’ll be an integral part of our UK bridges cohort—a supportive, friendly group backed by strong technical networks. As a senior engineer, you will provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members and help shape the exceptional delivery our clients value. This role will also support projects in the Oxford area too, so monthly travel there will be required, and would be expensed. We are a proud Disability Confident Employer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead elements of design and assessment projects.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
- Produce and review calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Support planning, scoping, and project management activities.
- Participate in inspections, assessments, and site work.
Qualifications
Essential: Civil/Structural Engineering degree; working toward chartership.
Preferred: Chartered Engineer (ICE/IStructE).
Experience
Essential: Significant post study experience in bridge design/assessment experience within consultancy.
Preferred: Experience leading small teams or packages of work.
Skills
Essential: Strong technical capability, understanding of DMRB/Eurocodes, communication skills.
Preferred: Advanced FE modelling and BIM integration experience.
